County Outpacing Last Year For New Home Construction

New home construction in Franklin County took a slight dip in July, but the market is above last year’s pace through the first seven months of the year.  Ten permits for new single family homes were issued last month, down from 12 in June.  Last month saw a higher average estimated construction cost than the year before though, meaning buyers are spending more money on homes.The average last month was $181,200.  A year ago the average was $159,869.In June, the average was higher at $203,849.  Taken from The Missourian 8/10/2011
